Even though I'm pretty confident there is no actual air infiltration, we experienced an uncomfortable cold downdraft from the skylight tunnels in our kitchen and family room. I think it was just air being cooled up by the skylight and then rotating down into the room. I installed the inserts into the tunnels 12 inches below the skylights; I thought I might have to install some sort of support to keep them up, but they seem quite secure with just friction fit. The result is terrific, the downdraft has been reduced to almost nothing.

Living in far upstate NY near the Canadian border where we have winter. I received 14 window inserts yesterday for our year round sun room. The packaging was very good. Installation was easy and the fit is very tight. Immediately noticed that the room was quiet as it was a very windy day when I installed the inserts. I am quite sure I will use less electricity as a result but haven’t been able to assess that yet. I gave this review 5 stars but I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could have only because the windows are not crystal clear as glass giving a somewhat distorted appearance. The savings will offset this minor issue. Wonder if anyone else has noticed this. Very happy with the purchase and the windows are doing what I expected. Just received my inserts and they fit perfectly! Great design and easy to install! The brown color matched my windows as well. I can already tell they are working . House is tighter and less drafty! Thanks for a great product!

This was my third order to complete the house and my daughter’s space as well. Everything fit perfectly, as usual. Everything shipped quickly, in plenty of time to beat the freezing New England winter, as usual. And rooms are warm and cozy throughout the house. Can’t be more pleased, and anticipate lower heating costs this winter. Couldn’t be more pleased. And friends are asking for the web site...as usual!

These inserts are amazing. And the price was very affordable. Today we have 39mph winds with snowing blowing sideways and no drafts inside anymore. I can highly recommend!! The staff and sales people were great to work with; responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. I had measured one window wrong and they sent a corrected one to me at no charge! I wish every company was this great to work with and offered such an excellent product worth every penny.

I am not easily pleased so I ordered just three to start and make sure I loved them. I ordered the split in the center so that the shipping costs were not based on oversized shipping per the notation this company provided in the directions. It comes with a color coded piece that slides in between the upper and lower inserts per window. It looks like white trim. From across the room, you cannot even tell there is an insert. Matter of fact, close up you really don't even realize it is there either. The foam around the exterior of each insert is awesome. Thank you for a quality product for us people who are wrapping our windows in plastic during the winter because we have a vintage window that costs a fortune to replace. Now, I can fix my trim the other method ruined and stick with your wonderful product.

We love these - have them now in nearly every window in the main house. The house was built variously in 1750 and 1820 - in the larger 19th C part, they're 12-over-12 windows. The split insert fits perfectly and doesn't obstruct the view. I've sent pictures to the company to show you how nicely they fit, and their effect to reduce the cold drafty air is just great.

I wanted to take a minute to let you know our order came today and I had the three windows installed in 20 minutes, including the one (2) piece unit. This time included removing the mini blinds and repositioning them after the window installation.

Your windows are awesome. They are made well, to my exact measurements, and as a result fit perfectly. Since COVID we have been generally unhappy with the work/products we have received anytime we have made home repairs. This includes the new Andersen windows that your inserts are no insulating properly as the windows themselves are very poorly made. It's nice to know that there are still people who take pride in their products and deliver on their promises!

I have had the window inserts for over five years, they have added to my older homes comfort, took them out this past fall to clean them and reinstalled. The ordering process is simple and deliver was as promised. I would highly recommend them if you want a cost effective alternative to replacing your windows. Scale of 1/10 I would give them a 10.

Wish I ordered years ago. I'll echo others with the quality and fit. Shipping packaging was A+ After installing, immediately noticed a marked increase in warmth! Furnace runs less too.

My house was built in 1920 and had many old-style storm windows that were broken when I bought it, which caused a ton of draftiness especially on windy days. Nobody makes storms anymore, and I didn't want to do the huge splurge of fully replacing windows, so I got these inserts and I could not be more pleased. They're very lightweight and surprisingly flexible, and fit snugly but not painfully tight in my windows. As I write this review, it's an extremely cold and windy day with gusts over 40mph and there is a massive difference in the draftiness-- and by difference, I mean barely any draft at all! I am beyond pleased and can't wait to see how much lower my heating bill will be this month.

If you need a cost effective, custom-sized option to help with draftiness or efficiency, I cannot recommend these inserts enough. They ship quickly, are incredibly easy to install, and have made a huge difference in my old home. My furnace kicks on less, there's little to no draftiness in my house, and the brown trim makes the inserts blend very nicely with the rest of the home. You wouldn't even notice them if you weren't looking for them.

Living in northenr Wisconsin, our walk-out basement bath and bedroom were pretty cool after sub-zero nights. We decided to try to protect a single and double window. We were concerned about clarity, as well. We were not disappointed. The units went in easy and snugly. The films were very clear, and the blended in well with the window frames (white with white vinyl). We noticed the increased warmth after the first cold (-22 F) night. We just ordered 4 more. Love them. Highly recommended.

I ordered 7 one piece inserts with one being slightly larger. Unfortunately when received the largest insert had been shipped as a split insert. I contacted by email on Sunday and problem was resolved Monday. Went above and beyond to correct the problem.

Everything about this order was both easy and fun! Eric gave me confidence in the company, so we ordered 14 inserts to fit a home that is about 90 years old. The windows are all quite loose and rattle and are breezy and inefficient. All 14 fit perfectly and all of a sudden the home felt solid, tight and efficient! Easy as pie to install. We ordered some inserts last year to try them out, they are great. We are ordering more this year, doing a room at a time and it makes a noticeable difference in the warmth and also reduces fuel costs.

Recently ordered 2 windows. Easy to install, they fit perfectly. I plan to order more windows next year.

These inserts work. I have two large sunrooms that are usually 20-30 degrees colder than the rest of my condo in the winter. I did my research and took a chance. I couldn't be more pleased. Winter has just begun, but no more freezing sunrooms, and I barely need my heater. In fact, the temperature in my condo stays pretty even throughout the day. The best part is that my sunrooms, which were never useable in the winter, are now comfortable enough to sit in when it's cold. You won't go wrong with these inserts: they provide excellent insulation, they are lightweight, and you get to keep your views. Eric was also a pleasure to work with. Definitely 5-star service and a 5-star product.

I ordered 6 window inserts and was very pleased with them. They did a very good job of packing them so they arrived undamaged. They were very easy to install, look nice and are well made. I did have a problem, but it was an error on my part. One of my inserts did not fit because I measured it wrong. I contacted Window Inserts and asked them how to handle this and asked for info on getting a replacement and what the cost would be. To my surprise I received an e-mail stating that my insert was being shipped. It arrived and fit perfectly, I wasn't charged for the replacement. Its hard to believe a company would do this. Kudos to Window Inserts. Needless to say, I have been telling people about what a great company they are and have been asked how to contact them. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

This product was recommended on an old home FB group. I gave it a try and ordered 2 windows to test. The results are fantastic! Super easy to install and inexpensive. I am going to order more. Well worth the money.
