The inserts showed up Friday and I installed them Saturday morning, just in time for the temperature to drop into the mid 30's.

I recently ordered 5 of your window inserts for my basement egress windows that are “exposed” to daylight. I received them today and installed them. They fit perfectly and were very easy to install. I could tell a difference as soon as I put them in! The drafty air stopped immediately! We will be ordering more for some of our “West” facing windows in the upstairs. We received and installed our 18 window inserts back in October and installed them just before the cold winter hit Downeast Maine in November. Since mid-November, it has been unusually cold here, average temperatures in December at least 5 degrees below normal. The inserts have performed wonderfully; indeed, I don't know how we could have survived in our old, un-insulated farm house without them. I've had my Windowinserts for a year now and can now give an honest review of the product. Working for a utility company, I'm always looking for energy efficient ideas and products. From my first contact with Eric, to delivery and fit, Windowinserts have surpassed my expectations. Living in a 2 story house, there used to be a distinct temperature change when walking from the kitchen into the living/dining area. Both areas have large double pane windows, and used to feel the cold radiating from the glass, but no more. We recently had a cold snap, with temperatures dropping below zero, and there's still wasn't any cold radiating from the windows. What a difference! Upon Eric's recommendation, I left the inserts in during the summer, finding it easier to cool the house as well. I highly recommend Windowinserts for anyone frustrated with cold, drafty windows, as a cost effective alternative over replacing existing windows. Thanks so much and keep up the good work.

VERY pleased with the window inserts. The effect has been significant. In two of the rooms, but particularly the bedroom, it was so cold we hated to have the grandkids sleep over. Now? Sleep away.

Several years ago we had new windows installed on our house. We have been very disappointed in their performance, we live in Northern Minnesota and have very cold, windy winter and unfortunately our windows have not been able to keep the cold and wind out of the house again. We were thinking about having new windows installed again, which would have been very costly, however we found your company online, and after much research we decided to try your window inserts instead. We are so happy we found this company, the inserts have worked beautifully! We no longer have drafts going through our house in the winter and we noticed a reduction in our monthly heating bill. The window inserts are fantastic, we love them.. since they arrived about Thanksgiving and then Christmas.. I did not have time to tell you about how we love them!!!

I ordered 4 of them about two weeks ago and got them in yesterday and they are amazing! I noticed a difference almost immediately! I plan on ordering 14 more tonight.

I ordered inserts for 30 windows for in my 1887/1910 home. My windows are original and in rough shape. The inserts were a measure to buy time until I can restore the originals. The order went smooth and two windows arrived the wrong size. A few emails and phone calls later the issue was resolved and new replacement windows arrive very quickly. They work great. The house is warmer and quieter. They all fit snugly into the window frame. My old windows are so drafty they with high winds the pressure was enough to push the storms out or suck them in at the top. I’ve had to engineer stabilization brackets using push pins to keep them from blowing out. I now understand why my gas bills have been so high. Window inserts have stopped the drafts completely and given me the comfort and time needed to repair my original windows.

Purchased 6 inserts for three large windows, 60"x 60". Rather than repeat the superlatives of previous posts, with which I concur, I want to comment on the clarity of the view. I anticipated that there would be a reduction in the quality of the view, but it is perfect. I can't tell any difference between the windows with and without the inserts in terms of the view outside into my yard. I recommend the inserts unreservedly.

Got my order and put them in today! Wowww, I'm so thrilled. They feel durable, fit perfectly, and were a dream to install. No sign of the usual drafts at all. And I'm keeping the packaging for storing them in summer. You've got an excellent product here! I'm going to recommend them to all my old house owning friends.

Just a quick note to tell you how much we're enjoying our new window inserts! They have transformed our older home's ability to hold in heat and keep the winter winds out. We've never experienced a cozier start to the deep winter.

Just wanted to follow up on your outstanding window inserts.
We weren't worried about noise abatement, but it does cut it down some.
The drafts coming in our old windows are gone, which has helped cut back on the dust inside. What we were most interested in was the “R” value of our windows and that has improved dramatically.

Our monthly electric bill is down roughly a third of what it was, on average, and even more during the extreme temp periods of Dec. Jan. and July Aug.
Also very easy to remove when we want to open a window and goes right back in when we want them reinstalled.

We received our window inserts today. The packaging was perfect. The inserts were numbered correctly. The first one was installed in a matter of seconds and the others immediately after. We ordered enough for our bedroom and bathroom. I look forward to seeing if they help with the drafts. So far the measuring, ordering, and installation has gone well.

I ordered these for my home which has been in our family since it was built in 1968. The windows are original and they are aluminum. At this point in time replacing them would be a real hassle and my mother likes the way the house looks as is. I ordered 12 inserts and even have them on basement windows. I am so happy with them.

Two years and running. The inserts have saved me about 30-40% a year on my electric bills. The inserts are still clear and my 3y/o hasn't been able to tear one yet. Not only have they saved me money, but they show me which windows are bad, especially when the wind blows. The insert bows inward or it vibrates when the wind blows against the window, but the wind doesn't transfer into the house. I'm so glad I got these inserts they saved me thousands of dollars vs buying new windows. Before I put these inserts in I couldn't keep my thermostat on 70 in the winter because the system would not shut off and the very expensive AUX heat would cycle on and off, that doesn't happen now. I can actually set the thermostat on 69 and be comfortable at temps in the teens and the dreaded AUX heat doesn't come on. In the summer I couldn't have the tstat set on 71-72 without the unit constantly running. That doesn't happen anymore either. I can now have my stat set on 71-72 and not only doesn't it stay on, it doesn't constantly cycle on and off either. These inserts are a bargain at twice the price. Thank You guys for thinking outside the box!

We liked our window inserts so much that we purchased them for our son's house. They are very well made and make a pleasant difference during these cold winter months. I have an older house with older crank style windows which will need to be replaced, but at a huge expense. I found this site online and I purchased inserts for the coldest room in my house. I had a definite change in the temperature in that room, which is now much warmer and my heating system doesn't kick on as much. They look great and look like part of my windows. I ended up placing a new order for the rest of the house. I also have central air and will use them during the summer. So easy to install and store. Lightweight. Great product and now I can replace my windows in stages on my schedule while still saving on my energy bills. Great product!!

Couldn't wait to place my second order for inserts! My 1896 Victorian has six windows in the living room and three in the dining room. When the dining room worked so well, the living room followed...Starting on the bedrooms next. Ease of installation, greater heat efficiency, light weight and simple to store in summer...who could ask for a better product? Not to mention how nice they look! A great product!
